Honest answers.

The questions we hear most often – answered the way we would on the phone: without sugar-coating.

Is it right for me?

Does it work with my inverter?

Very likely – over 80 brands and systems are supported. The quick check tells you in 30 seconds which route applies to your brand: direct, by enabling a setting in the inverter, or via a small additional meter.

Is a miner included?

No – the box controls your miners, it doesn’t replace any. We don’t sell miners ourselves.

Where to get miners
I don’t have a miner yet – how do I find the right one?

Our simulator works out which device suits your surplus. You can buy it from our partner wattwirdwert.at, for example – and if you’re unsure, write to us: we’ll look at your system together.

Do I need a battery?

No. The box also controls systems without a battery. With a battery, there’s one more decision for you to make: who gets the surplus first – battery or miner? That’s what the three battery strategies are for, plus optional night mining from the battery.

Does all surplus automatically become Bitcoin?

No, and that’s on purpose. When the spot price is high, the box pauses the miners and lets the power go to the grid. You set the threshold – you decide, the box carries it out.

Do I need prior knowledge or Home Assistant experience?

No. MINEOMAT OS comes pre-installed and the setup guides you through it. If you prefer, you can book remote setup as well – then we set everything up for you remotely.

Everyday life: noise, space, power

How loud is it at home?

The box itself is practically silent. Miners vary widely: a small Bitaxe is barely audible, while a large S19k Pro at full load sounds like a vacuum cleaner and belongs in the basement, garage or utility room – or soundproofed in a cabinet, as you can see in our case studies. And because the box adjusts power in steps, miners often run at lower levels – which also reduces the noise.

Where do I put a miner, and what about the power connection?

A large miner draws around 3 kW continuously at full load – as much as an oven. It belongs on a suitable, properly fused circuit; if in doubt, have a quick word with an electrician. Small devices like a Bitaxe run from a normal socket.

Does night mining wear out my battery?

Night mining is optional and entirely up to your settings: if you turn it on, the box uses energy at night above a reserve you set yourself – which means additional charge cycles for the battery. If you don’t want that, you leave it off. You decide, the box carries it out.

Do I need a Shelly smart plug?

Not for normal miner control. You do need one in two cases: for small devices like the Bitaxe, which the box can only switch via a plug – and for lottery mode, where your miner deliberately runs around the clock (optionally with a minimum battery level as a safety net).

Money: costs, returns, tax

What does it cost to get started in total?

The box costs €299 (MINI, up to 2 miners) or €499 (HOME, up to 8 miners) – incl. VAT, plus shipping, full software included, no subscription. On top of that comes your miner – new or used – and, if you like, remote setup for €200.

What will I get out of it?

That depends on your system, the weather and the Bitcoin price – which is why we don’t promise any returns. The simulator calculates your scenario with your own figures.

Do I have to pay tax on it?

Mining income may be taxable. The treatment differs between Austria and Germany and depends on the individual case. This is not tax advice – for your situation, a short consultation with a tax advisor is usually enough.

Buying and afterwards

I don’t have a Bitcoin wallet yet.

Your wallet belongs to your miner, not to the box: you enter the receiving address in the miner when you connect it to your mining pool – that’s where payouts go. The MINEOMATBOX never touches your wallet; it only controls the power of your devices. And if wallets, safekeeping and exchange are new territory for you: that’s exactly what the BTC crash course with our partner Olli is for.

Am I dependent on you? What if MINEOMAT no longer exists one day?

The box runs locally on your network on Home Assistant, an open platform – no mandatory cloud and no subscription. It keeps working even if our servers can’t be reached. To be honest: some inverter brands only provide their data via the manufacturer’s cloud – the quick check tells you beforehand.

How long does delivery take, and what about the right of withdrawal?

Shipped from Austria within 3 working days. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies. Orders are placed in the shop: shop.mineomat.com (currently in German).
