The story behind it
Tougher than any lab.
This is the system where the box is really put to the test. A Huawei inverter with SDongle, a 15 kWh battery, two Avalon Q, an Avalon Nano 3S and a Bitaxe, a MINEOMATBOX HOME – and an operator who documents and reports every anomaly.
The grid import cap and the protection logic for SDongle dropouts were both developed right here – issues that would never have come up in the lab, because nobody there spends weeks dealing with real weather and a real household.
This is also where the battery strategy comes into play: during the day the battery charges with the surplus, at night mining continues from the battery as long as the state of charge stays above the configured threshold. Solar by day, battery by night. What doesn’t go into the grid goes into the miners.
Real conditions, real feedback. If the box doesn’t stumble here, it won’t stumble anywhere else.

It runs locally in your home on Home Assistant, with no cloud and no subscription. If, contrary to expectations, the connection to your inverter doesn’t work, you can send it back.
